Wolfgang Bauernfeind (born March 9, 1944 in Kassel ) is a German journalist , feature writer and director . For many years he was head of the feature department of the SFB, later RBB.

Life

After studying German , theater studies and philosophy in Cologne, Berlin and Munich, Wolfgang Bauernfeind worked from 1970 for several ARD stations and the ZDF as a freelance writer of documentaries.

In 1978 he began his work as editor of the features department in the radio of the SFB and in 1994 took over the management of the department from Peter Leonhard Braun . Wolfgang Bauernfeind not only staged the feature projects that he himself brought into the program as an author, but also numerous features from well-known authors such as B. Jens Sparschuh or Paul Kohl also many first-time works in the documentary area.
