Wolfgang Friedrich
Wolfgang Friedrich (* 1947 in Torgau ) is a Rostock sculptor and medalist .
Life
Wolfgang Friedrich completed his vocational training as a qualified glass worker in 1966. From 1968 to 1973 he studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts with Gerd Jaeger , Walter Arnold , Herbert Naumann and Helmut Schwager, among others . This is followed by an aspiration. Friedrich worked from 1977 to 1978 as a teacher at the evening school at the Dresden University and has since worked as a freelance sculptor in Rostock. Friedrich is a lecturer in Gestalt theory at the Technical Art School in Rostock.

- 2015 Memorial sculpture “Die Mrauerbe” for women who perished in the subcamp of the Ravensbrück concentration camp , at the Franciscan monastery in Neubrandenburg
Friedrich also created many small sculptures as well as graphics and paintings.
