Wolfgang Müller-Kallweit

Wolfgang Müller-Kallweit (born May 30, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a former CDU politician in Hamburg .

Life

Wolfgang Müller-Kallweit graduated from high school in 1987 . It was followed by a study of the law in Hamburg from 1987 to 1995. During his studies he was at times a legal assistant in the family business.

From 1995 to 1998 he completed a legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court and passed his second state examination. He has been working as a lawyer in Hamburg since 2000 . In February 2009 he was elected President of the Hamburg Athletics Association .

He has been married since 1995 and has four children.

Wolfgang Müller-Kallweit joined the Junge Union Deutschlands in 1981 and has been a member of the CDU since 1983. During his studies he was a member of the RCDS at the University of Hamburg from 1987 to 1993 . He was a member of the Hamburg-Harburg district assembly and was a specialist in social affairs there. He was also a member of the CDU parliamentary group in the Süderelbe local committee . He sees his personal focus particularly in social and family politics as well as international politics.

On April 12, 2005 he became a member of the Hamburg parliament and was re-elected in the 2008 parliamentary elections. There he sat for his group in the Health and Consumer Protection Committee, Social Committee and the Special Committee on Administrative Reform. In addition, he was a member of the parliamentary committee of inquiry (PUA) " Closed accommodation on Feuerbergstrasse" and "Information transfer" .

Müller-Kallweit was a CDU direct candidate in the Bundestag constituency Hamburg-Bergedorf - Harburg for the 2009 Bundestag election , but could not prevail against Hans-Ulrich Klose (SPD).

Due to the poor performance of his party, he lost his mandate after the state elections in Hamburg in 2011 .
