Ueberhorst mainly worked in metal. His works embody an art that derives its form from the critical examination of the broad spectrum of "non-artistic" topics, and his objects find their expressive form as condensed human experience and reflection. Some of Ueberhorst's works are designed as cycles, such as the bronze and silver figures about Mozart's Don Giovanni, The Boston Rabbit, the artistic accompaniment of an experimental surgery project at Harvard, or Intrinsic, which took place from 1996 to 2005 in a non-verbal dialogue with the composer Michael Denhoff created a cycle of sculptures that inspire and react to the "linguistic character" of music and sculpture. In 2008, Denhoff's compositions were recorded on CD by Martin Tchiba . On November 23, 2009 the compositions including an interview with the artists were presented at SWR2 .
