Wolfhard Freiherr von Boeselager (born October 17, 1936 in Echthausen ) is a German entrepreneur and active conservationist .

Life

The father Maximilian Freiherr von Boeselager (1911–1989) married Friederike Freiin von Fürstenberg (1910–1988) in 1934 . Wolfhard Freiherr von Boeselager studied philosophy at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg from 1955 to 1959 . In 1961 he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University in New York . During his studies in New York, he met Csilla von Fényes from Budapest through his cousin Dela von Boeselager . He received his doctorate in 1969 with a thesis The Sovjet Critique of Neopositivism the doctor ( Dr. phil. )

From 1970 to 2006 he was managing director of the land, forest and real estate property Boeselager Voßwinkel at Schloss Höllinghofen . From 1977 to 1989 he was chairman of the Catholic education center in Arnsberg-Sundern and from 1995 to 2005 he was deputy chairman of the regional association for nature conservation and the environment in North Rhine-Westphalia (LNU). Wolfhard Freiherr von Boeselager was a co-founder of the Wildwald Voßwinkel . In 1996 he founded the forest working group and from 2007 built the Pro Wald e. V. on.

In 1973 he married Csilla Fényes von Denginh . From this marriage the daughters Ildikó and Ilona were born. He is also the father of a foster son. After the death of his wife in February 1994, the “Csilla von Boeselager Stiftung Osteuropa-Hilfe e. V. “, which he headed as chairman until 2006.

Around 1996 he married the Hungarian opera singer Katalin Pitti . After separating from Katalin Pitti, von Boeselager married Martina Schmidt, managing director of the Cappenberg Forest School , in 2007 , and the church wedding took place on May 25, 2019.
