Wolfhard Klein

Wolfhard Klein (born January 7, 1949 in Hagen in Westphalia ) is a German journalist and author from Jugenheim in Rheinhessen . In addition to his journalistic work, he made a name for himself as a crime writer , poet and specialist in mousetraps .

education and study

Wolfhard Klein went to school in his hometown of Hagen and gained his first journalistic experience with a school newspaper, in press work for TSV Hagen 1860 and as a freelancer for the Westfälische Rundschau . After graduating from high school, he studied journalism , sociology and sports science at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz from 1969 and graduated in 1974 with a diploma.

Journalistic work

Even during his studies, Klein worked for the Allgemeine Zeitung in Mainz and for the magazines specifically , Stern and twen . In 1973 he went to what was then Südwestfunk (today's Südwestrundfunk ), where he most recently worked as program manager at SWR4 Rhineland-Palatinate . At the end of January 2012, Wolfhard Klein took early retirement .

Literary work

In addition to his journalistic work, Wolfhard Klein published numerous books and articles for anthologies . In addition to non-fiction, his work also includes crime novels and poetry . He is also co-editor of two volumes of poetry.

Klein is a co-founder of the Mörderisches Rheinhessen group , an association of Rheinhessen crime authors, which also organizes an annual crime festival. In addition, he is the initiator of the reading series Rheinhessen reads and a member of the association of German-speaking crime authors Das Syndikat .

In 2009, Klein was appointed to the advisory board of the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben .

Private

Wolfhard Klein is married, has one child and lives in Jugenheim in Rheinhessen. His hobbies include collecting mousetraps , about which he has published a cultural history.
