The éditions trèves is a German art association and book publisher with headquarters in Trier .

history

The éditions trèves (ET) was founded in 1974 as a graphic association. In the early days, Rainer Breuer from Trier, who was one of the founding members, included artists such as Bickhard Bottinelli from Kassel and Horst Tress from Cologne. The first activities of the ET took place in the context of the documenta , among other things , in the course of the years they shifted to the Trier region in the field of fine arts. In 1976 it was entered at the Trier District Court as a registered association for the promotion of artistic activities. At the same time, ET began its fiction work, initially as an author publisher and later as an independent publisher within the framework of a publishing business represented at international book fairs. The ET, which is one of the founding associations of the cloth factory , a cultural center in Trier, is now run by Rainer Breuer and Ursula Dahm.

Publishing program

The publishing program ranges from the publication of graphic works, fiction and poetry to non-fiction and entertainment literature. The series of satirical calendars made the ET known nationwide, as did the series of "trèves-krimis", which now comprises more than 60 volumes. The “giveaway calendar” in the form of a “literary-graphic yearbook” as well as the editions on Latin inscriptions by Hans-Joachim Kann are long-running favorites.
