The Federated Auto Parts 400 is a traditional race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup , which at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond , Virginia is discharged. Since the introduction of the play-off format Chase for the Sprint Cup in 2004, it has been the last race of the regular season, and since the 1991 season it has been held as a night race. It is known, among other things, for the concerts that are held as part of the racing event. Because the race is usually held around Patriot Day , the Pledge of Allegiance is part of the pre-race ceremony.
