Wondrous stories ( Jap. わくわくどきどきめいさくわ~るど , Waku Waku Doki Doki Meisaku Warudo , dt "Exciting, heart throbbing world masterpieces", English title:. Funky Fables ) is an anime - television series , which was created between 1988 and 1989. Each episode is dedicated to a well-known fairy tale or story.
Production and publication
The series was created between 1988 and 1989. The animation studio in charge was Studio Junio . Production was carried out by Fuji Television Network , Fusosha and Pony Canyon . Responsible producer was Yoichi Fujita , directed by Minoru Maeda and Mariko Kadono . The character design comes from Minoru Maeda.
The series was first shown on Fuji TV from April 4, 1988. Saban Entertainment localized the series outside of Japan, with the music again being composed by Shuki Levy . The German first broadcast took place on December 24, 1993 on VOX . Other broadcasts also took place on MDR , Das Erste , KIKA , SWR , Hr-fernsehen , EinsFestival and RBB Berlin .
