Wynfrid war leather
Wynfrid Kriegleder (born April 12, 1958 in Obernberg am Inn ) is an Austrian literary scholar and Germanist. He is as ao. University professor at the University of Vienna .
Life
After attending the primary school in Obernberg am Inn, Wynfrid Kriegleder attended the federal high school in Ried im Innkreis , where he graduated in 1976. He then studied German and English at the University of Vienna. From 1981 to 1984 he was a study assistant at the Institute for German Studies at the University of Vienna, from 1984 contract assistant and from 1985 university assistant. In 1985 he received his doctorate from the University of Vienna sub auspiciis with a dissertation on the Josephine author Joseph Franz Ratschky .
In January 1997, he completed his habilitation at the humanities faculty of the University of Vienna with a thesis on the image of the USA in German-language novels of the 18th and 19th centuries. Since this year he has been working as an associate professor at the University of Vienna. He was a visiting professor and research scholar at Berea College, Kentucky, Duke University , Yale University, and the University of Kansas . He also taught at the Universities of Szeged , Osijek and Antwerp .
