XII Abierto Colombiano de Squash 2009

The XII Abierto Colombiano de Squash 2009 took place from August 24th to 30th, 2009 in Bogotá , Colombia . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2009/10 and belonged to Category 3 Star . It was endowed with $ 30,000.

The defending champion was Miguel Ángel Rodríguez , who was eliminated in the semifinals against Borja Golán that year . Golán faced David Palmer in the final . At 12:10, 11:13, 12:10, 5:11 and 12:12 from Palmer's point of view, Golán had to give up the game due to a knee injury.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Arturo Jaramillo a spot in the main draw.
