XVI Abierto Colombiano de Squash Club El Nogal

The XVI Abierto Colombiano de Squash Club El Nogal 2013 took place from 6th to 11th August 2013 in Bogotá . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2013/14 and belonged to the International 50 category .

The defending champion was Tarek Momen , who lost to Colombian local hero Miguel Ángel Rodríguez in the first round this year . For the first time in his career he reached the semifinals at a PSA tournament in the International 50 category, but had to admit defeat to Omar Mosaad in three sets. In the final, Mosaad met the top seeded Englishman Peter Barker , who beat Mosaad 11: 4, 11: 4, 8:11 and 11: 3. For Barker, who won the tournament three times between 2005 and 2007, it was the fourth win in this tournament and the first this season.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 50,000.
