Sang Xue

Sang Xue ( Chinese  桑 雪 , Pinyin Sāng Xuě ; born February 17, 1984 in Tianjin ) is a former Chinese diver . She once took part in the Olympic Games and won a gold medal.

Xue took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . She started in the individual and synchronous competition from the ten-meter tower. In the individual competition she reached fourth place behind the American Laura Wilkinson , her compatriot Li Na and the Canadian Anne Montminy and thus narrowly missed a medal. In the dubbing competition she started together with Li Na. The two won the gold medal ahead of Canadians Émilie Heymans and Anne Montminy and Rebecca Gilmore and Loudy Tourky from Australia. At the 2001 World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka she also won the gold medal in synchronized jumping from the tower.
