The Mae Nam Yom ( Thai : แม่น้ำ ยม , pronunciation: [mɛ̂ː náːm jom] ), or just Yom , is a river in northern Thailand .

It has its source in Pong County ( Amphoe ) in Phayao Province , continues to flow south and forms the main waterway of Phrae and Sukhothai Provinces . On both sides of the Yom in Si Satchanalai there are kilns of the old ceramic workshops from the 14th to 16th centuries. Finally it flows into the Mae Nam Nan in Amphoe Chum Saeng , province of Nakhon Sawan , and thus forms one of the four source rivers of the Mae Nam Chao Phraya , the main stream of Thailand .

The catchment area of the Yom and its tributaries covers an area of 23,616 km²; it is located in Sukhothai , Phitsanulok , Phichit , Phrae and Lampang provinces .
