from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The "community Youyi the Daur , Manju and Kyrgyz " ( Chinese  友谊达斡尔族满族柯尔克孜族乡 , Pinyin Yǒuyì Dáwò'ěrzú Mǎnzú Kē'ěrkèzīzú Xiang ) is a nationality community in the county Fuyu the prefecture-level city Qiqihar in northeast China province of Heilongjiang . Youyi has an area of 584 km² and almost 27,000 inhabitants (2000 census), of which around 11% belong to ethnic minorities .

economy

Youyi has 320 km² of grassland and 93 km² of arable land. In animal husbandry, the focus is on cattle , dairy cattle and sheep , in arable farming on the cultivation of wheat , soy and sunflowers , mainly for the production of sunflower oil .

Ethnic groups

Youyi means “friendship” and, as the name of the community, is symbolic of the different peoples who have lived together here for centuries. The vast majority of almost 90% are Han , but Youyi is best known for the Manju in the village of Sanjiazi, among whom until at least the beginning of the 21st century there were probably the last individuals in the world who could speak Manjur fluently.

Another special feature is the Heilongjiang-Kyrgyz , most of which live in the village Wujiazi and their ancestors during the Qing Dynasty , in the 18th century, along with Oirat Mongols had been relocated from West China to Fuyu. Some older Heilongjiang Kyrgyz still speak their Khakass language , which is only distantly related to Xinjiang's Kyrgyz language . In contrast to the Kyrgyz in Xinjiang , they were never Islamized . Their predominant religion is Tibetan Buddhism of the Gelug school , interwoven with strong remnants of their traditional shamanism .

The Daur in the villages of Dengke, Dongji and Qinlian speak a Mongolian language, but due to their prominent position during the Qing Dynasty, they are closely connected to the Manju and form a local cultural community with them. In smaller numbers also live in Youyi Mongols (mostly Oirats), Hui , Koreans and Evenki .
