action

The young student Sakamichi Onoda from Chiba is a typical otaku with no real circle of friends, a fear of girls and a preference for anime series. After entering high school, he hopes to finally find like-minded people with whom he can exchange ideas about his favorite characters in the school's own anime club. However, due to the lack of interested parties, the Anime Club will be closed. Onoda tries to animate this promptly and gets to know new friends who are less interested in anime than in his cycling talent.

Shunsuke Imaizumi, who wants to join the school's own cycling club, notices that Onoda covers long distances and steep mountain climbs with a heavy touring bike almost effortlessly . Naruko Shōkichi, whom Onoda met on a trip to Akihabara , also loved cycling from an early age . Both then convince Onoda to join the cycling club.

As a new member of the cycling club, Onoda finally got to know more friends who familiarize him with the peculiarities of the milieu. After an internal selection process and thanks to a borrowed racing bike , Onoda succeeds in being nominated for the school selection despite his limited experience, with which he can ultimately take part in a national school race.
