Yungblud (born August 5, 1997 in Doncaster ; actually Dominic Richard Harrison ) is an English alternative rock musician from Doncaster.
Life
Yungblud left school at 16 to move to London and begin his music career. In 2017 his music started to get more attention. He recorded the song Falling Skies with Charlotte Lawrence for the soundtrack for the second season of Dead Girls Don't Lie . His debut album, 21st Century Liability , came out on July 6, 2018.
attitude
Yungblud says of himself that he is a socially conscious artist who is not afraid of releasing cross-genre protest songs .
One of his songs, I Love You, Will You Marry Me , tells the story of a man named Jason who asked for the hand of a woman named Clare Middleton through graffiti on Park Hill. The woman died and the man is homeless. The story became very commercial, which benefited the owners of the building.
Influences
Dominic Harrison himself names The Beatles , The Cure , The Clash , Bob Dylan , Green Day and T. Rex as his influences. He also mentions Eminem in interviews.
