Yvon-Joseph Moreau

Yvon-Joseph Moreau OCSO (born October 29, 1941 in Saint-Pascal-de-Kamouraska , Québec , Canada ) is a Canadian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière .

Life

Bernard-Nicolas Jean-Marie Aubertin was ordained a priest for the diocese of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière on June 18, 1968 . Later he joined the order of the Trappists and made profession on October 22, 1990.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on October 18, 2008 Bishop of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière. He received his episcopal ordination from the Apostolic Nuncio in Canada , Archbishop Luigi Ventura , on December 27 of the same year; Co - consecrators were Clément Fecteau , former bishop of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, and André Gaumond , archbishop of Sherbrooke .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on December 8, 2017.
