Zalkod is a Hungarian community in the county Sárospatak in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén .

Geographical location

Zalkod is located in northern Hungary , 70 kilometers east of the Miskolc county seat , on the right bank of the Tisza . Neighboring communities are Timár and Szabolcs, on the other side of the Tisza, and Kenézlő and Viss on the same bank. To the west of the municipality is the Bodrogzug wetland .
