action
A civil war soldier who has switched fronts finds his wife and son murdered on his return home. He goes in search of the six murderers in order to get revenge with the help of a toy and his pistol. He is helped by the sheriff of the city where he tracks down the perpetrators, but who ultimately turns out to be a participant in the crime.
criticism
"Well-known from previous westerns in a mediocre execution."
"Boring Euro Western, questionable in its attitude towards vigilante justice, which of course defuses itself through the narrow-chested dramaturgy."
Remarks
The German version appeared considerably shortened. A longer version was released on DVD.
Ennio Morricone is sometimes given as the composer .
Despite the apparently tight budget, the film features well-known names in the genre right down to the smallest of appearances.
