The journal is divided into two sections: The first section comprises analyzes. Analyzes are concise texts on topics relevant to foreign and security policy with a high practical relevance and topicality. These contributions go through an editorial review by two editors. Studies and essays appear in the second section. Studies are more detailed treatises that carefully formulate their theoretical and methodological foundations, which depict and further develop the state of research in the discipline. The studies go through a double-blind peer review process . More than 90 scientists have written reports. E.g .: Mathias Albert , Franco Algieri, Wilfried von Bredow , Klaus Brummer, Daniel Göler, Christian Hacke , Sabine Hess, Claudia Hofmann, Jochen Hippler , Hartwig Hummel, Matthias Jopp, Markus Kaim , Joachim Krause, Barbara Lippert, Alistair Miskimmon, Franz Nuscheler , Elfriede Regelsberger, Ralph Rotte , Christoph Schwarz, Johannes Varwick , Martin Wagener and Christoph Weller. Essays are articles of a more explorative nature that provide food for thought and point out perspectives. The magazine also regularly prints reviews and reports from conferences and specialist meetings.
