The Zemminsee - also written Zemmin-See - is a naturally formed lake in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . It is mostly in the municipality of Groß Köris , and a small part in the west of the lake is in the area of ​​the town of Teupitz .

The lake is located north of Schwerin and west of the center of the community Groß Köris . The federal motorway 13 ( Berlin - Dresden ) and the Berlin – Görlitz railway line run immediately to the east of the lake . There are extensive forest areas to the west and north-west. The inflow takes place via the Schweriner See , via which the lake is connected to the Mochgraben . The runoff is via the canal ditch into the Schulzensee . The Zemminsee borders on the Dahme-Heideseen nature park , but does not belong to it.

At its longest point, the Zemminsee has a length of about 1120 meters, the maximum width of the lake is about 580 meters. The circumference of the Zemminsee is 3,933 meters, the area 43.4804 ha .

The Zemminsee is part of the Teupitz waters , a chain of lakes consisting of ten lakes that flows into the Dahme at Prieros . The perch , bream , ruff , roach , rudd and bleak live in the lake . The waters are looked after by the Teupitz fishery. The lake is also used for tourism. Round trips are offered on the lake, and as part of the Dahme waterway , motor boats can be used. Swimming, fishing, surfing and sailing are also allowed on the lake.
