Central naval command

The Central Marine Command was a higher command authority of the Federal Navy in Kiel . It was created on February 1, 1962 by renaming the previous command of naval training while simultaneously subordinating the ship testing command and parts of the command of the fleet base . The Central Marine Command was transferred to the newly established Naval Office on October 1, 1965 .

The Central Naval Command has taken over from the Naval Training Command to plan and direct the training of all military personnel in the Navy, to coordinate training at all naval schools and to draw up the training regulations and the annual school plan. In addition, it was responsible for service regulations, medical services and organizational issues of the Navy (STAN).
