Zerbe Township is a township in Northumberland County , Pennsylvania in the United States . At the time of the 2010 United States Census , the township had 1,872 residents, compared to 2021 in 2000.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the Zerbe Township has a total area of ​​30.0 km 2 , only 0.09% of which is water. Trevorton is the only census-designated place within the Zerbe Township and includes the northern part of the Zerbe Township.

The northern border of the township runs on the ridge line of Little Mountain , in the south the township extends to an approximately west-east running line that extends roughly along Mahanoy Mountain . The Big Mountain sweeps through the township from east-northeast to south-southwest ; especially to the south of it, the landscape has been greatly changed by coal mining. Due to this location, the Zerbe Township falls completely into the catchment area of the Zerbe Run .

The neighboring townships are: Rockefeller Township in the northwest, Shamokin Township in the northeast, Coal Township in the east, West Cameron Township in the south and Little Mahanoy Township in the west.

There were 946 housing units at an average of 31.5 per km².
