Zheng Weiyang ( Chinese  张 威 扬 , Pinyin Zhāng Wēiyáng ; born October 6, 1983 ) is a former Chinese ice hockey player who last played until 2012 for China Dragon in the Asia League Ice Hockey .

Career

Zheng Weiyang began his career with the team from Harbin , with which he became Chinese national champions in 2002 and 2003. From 2004 he played with the team that was called Hosa in the 2006/07 season in the Asia League Ice Hockey . After the team merged with the Changchun Fu'ao team in 2007 , he played for the fusion product China Sharks , which has been playing as China Dragon since 2009 and for which he played until his retirement in 2012.

International

For China , Zhang Weiyang took part in the junior division of the Asia Division I of the U18 World Cup in 2000 .

In the senior sector, the attacker was in China's squad at the World Championships of Division II in 2006 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2011 and 2012 , not only serving as the team captain of the Chinese in 2011 and 2012, but also being named the best player of his team. At the 2007 World Cup , he represented his colors in Division I. He also played at the 2011 Asian Winter Games for the team from the Middle Kingdom.
