history
It was first mentioned in a document in 1239, as villa Nowa (Nova) it belonged to the lands of the Vérteser Csákok. In 1447 it was mentioned in the noble resolution as Wyfalw (Újfalu - Neudorf).
The Zichy family appeared as landowners in Újfalu (Neudorf) as early as the time of the Turkish rule .
After the Turkish occupation, it was leased for some time by serfs from Seregélyes . In 1784 the owner of the wasteland was Count Ferenc Zichy , his son János Zichy built a castle in Neudorf and laid out a wildlife park in 1962.
The distinctive prefix "Zichy" refers to the landowners at the time, the family members of Count Zichy. The former hunting lodge of the count's family can be found in the village, where the mayor's office is currently located, so the building can only be viewed from the outside. The park and park forest belonging to the castle offer an opportunity for active relaxation.
