geography
Ziegelbachquelle
It rises in the Ziegelbachquelle, a karst spring at the Ziegelhof not far from the main European watershed . Only 2 km further north is the origin of the Black Cooker , which flows over the Rhine to the North Sea. while the Ziegelbachwasser reaches the Black Sea via the Brenz and Danube. The Ziegelbachquelle lies on the Karstquellenweg .
The spring water flows from a crack in the rock. By contrast water testing a compound of Ziegelbach source was mixed with the wool hole detected, a sinkhole on the far slope of wool Bergs ( 710 m above sea level. NN ) which is km northwest about 2 and about 62 m in the limestone of the Schwäbischen Alb penetrates.
course
Already 200 m after its origin, the Ziegelbach takes up the almost one kilometer long Seegartenhofgraben from the left , which runs through the strikingly wide valley through the Alb in a flat, straight course from the north. Then it flows in a no-loop in a southerly direction and disappears at the entrance to Königsbronn in a tube in which it runs through most of the village. Only at the Königsbronn monastery does it step outside again and then flow from the left into the young Brenz , which itself rises from the Brenzpot only 200 m earlier .
