Antônio Naelson Matías (born May 23, 1976 in Itajá , Rio Grande do Norte , Brazil ), known as Zinha , is a football player for the Mexican national team . It is also known under the name Sinha , but has the spelling Zinha on the jersey.

Born in Brazil, Zinha is only 163 cm tall and is one of the smallest players. After playing in the lower Brazilian leagues until he was 21, he became aware of the Mexican club Saltillo from the second division. The midfielder has played for Deportivo Toluca FC since 1999 , with whom he has already won the Mexican championship four times .

Zinha is one of the few naturalized players to have ever played on the Mexican national team. He was naturalized in Mexico in 2003, which led to great controversy. Today he is a widely accepted player in the national team. He lives in Toluca with his Mexican wife and daughter .

Zinha played for Mexico in the Olympic team in 2004 . They only reached third place in Group A, behind the group winners Mali and South Korea , and were eliminated early. At the Confederations Cup in Germany in 2005, he helped Mexico win against Japan with a spectacular goal . Mexico reached 4th place in the tournament. He also played in the Gold Cup and was also in the squad of national coach Ricardo La Volpe at the 2006 World Cup in Germany , where he even scored a header against Iran .

Shortly before the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011 , he and four teammates tested positive for Clenbuterol and suspended from the tournament. However , he was later acquitted of the allegation of doping because contaminated meat was suspected.
