history

The first documentary mention of the village took place in 1398, when Wilhelm I von Pernstein assigned 18 groschen a year from the income from Zlatkov to Jan von Býšovec's wife Katruše. His grandson Wilhelm II von Pernstein lifted the obligation to dispense stately wine in 1500 and also exempted the residents from the stately fish fron in 1515. In the 16th century, the village was spun off from the Pernstein goods and assigned to the Mitrover goods. A testament can be proven since 1589. Zlatkov belonged to the Lords of Pernstein until the Pernsteiner and Mitrover goods were sold to Paul Katharyn von Katharn in 1596. Katharyn reunited Zlatkov with the Pernstein reign. In 1675 the village consisted of 16 houses, 5 of which were uninhabited. In 1756 the village was changed from Bystřice to Rožná. Zlatkov consisted of 19 houses in 1790, in which 167 people lived. In 1828 a school was established in Zlatkov, and in 1853 a school was built.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zlatkov formed a community in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1900 Zlatkov had 259 inhabitants and had grown to 44 houses. From 1916 to 1918 there was an asbestos mine near Zlatkov , which was closed again due to unprofitability. In 1921 Zlatkov had 222 inhabitants and in 1950 there were 207. In 1949 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. In 1961 it was incorporated into Rožná and at the same time assigned to Okres Žďár nad Sázavou. In 1970 there were 166 people in Zlatkov. The school closed in the 1970s. In 1991 the place had 148 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 57 houses in which 134 people lived. The area around the village is considered to be a mineral site, where u. a. Clausthalit occurs.
