Zoe Lee (born December 15, 1985 in Richmond , North Yorkshire ) is a British rower .

Athletic career

Zoe Lee began rowing while studying at the University of Oxford . In 2008 she won a shock woman with the roller of the Oxford women's race as part of the Boat Race . After graduating in geography, she moved to King's College in London in 2009 . In 2010 she won the student world championships in a foursome without a helmsman . In 2011 she competed internationally for the United Kingdom for the first time and finished fourth at the 2011 European Championships with eighth place . In 2012 , she won bronze at the European Championship with eighth place, but in which there was no rowing woman who had rowed in the final of the Olympic Games .

2013 rowed Zoe Lee in the World Cup in the quadruple sculls and eights, with the World Championships in 2013 she won the eighth to fourth place. In 2014, the eighth won the silver medal at the European Championships behind the Romanians at the start of the season . After two third places in the World Cup, the eighth ended the 2014 season with a sixth place in the World Championships . In 2015 the boat reached fifth place at the European Championships , achieved two third places in the World Cup and qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games with a fourth place at the 2015 World Championships . In March 2016, Zoe Lee graduated from King's College with a Ph. D. from. Two months later, the British eight started the Olympic season and won the title at the European Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel . At the 2016 Olympic Games , the US eight continued his streak of victories at world championships and Olympic regattas, followed by the British European champions who received the silver medal ahead of Romania.

After a year break, Zoe Lee rowed the British double scull in 2018. Together with Alice Baatz , Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne and Melissa Wilson , she finished fourth at the 2018 European Championships . With Jess Leyden for Alice Baatz, the British reached fifth place at the 2018 World Championships . In 2019, Zoe Lee rowed back in eighth place at the European Championships in Lucerne and won the silver medal behind the Romanians.
