After several bombings in Kassel, the company headquarters was relocated to Göttingen in 1942/43. After the death of Friedrich Zufall in 1946, Gerhard F. Müller became managing director and took over the company shares. This was followed by branches in Osterode (1946), Hann Münden (1949) and Hamburg (1960). In 1948 the company was renamed to Hessisch-Südhannoverscher Fernverkehr Friedrich Zufall and in 1965 was given the name Friedrich Zufall Internationale Spedition (GmbH & Co. KG since 1976). In 1968 Gerhard Müller was appointed managing director.

Zufall has been offering air freight from Frankfurt Airport since 1966 . From 1970 to 2014 there was a working group with Navis AG for the handling of sea freight . In 1976, Zufall was a founding partner of DPD . These shares were sold in 2000. In 1986, together with 10 other medium-sized haulage companies , Zufall founded the franchise- based cooperation System-Gut Logistik Service GmbH as a fast delivery service for general cargo. In the same year, the same shareholders founded DTL Deutsche Textil Logistik. In 1988, Zufall founded Logistec GmbH as a logistics consulting company and in 1989 the first logistics center in Fulda was opened.

After reunification , the company Axthelm + Zufall GmbH & Co. KG was founded in Kölleda (Thuringia) in 1991 together with the Carl Axthelm company . In 1993, Zufall was again a founding partner of the Night Star Express network.
