Biography
Thomas Lynch (1727-1776) was an American planter and statesman from South Carolina. He was a delegate to the Stamp Act Congress of 1765 and the Continental Congress from 1774 to 1776.
Linkletter graduated from Grand Forks Red River High School in 2003, and attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota as a marketing major and is currently attending California State University Northridge as well. She had previously worked at Victoria's Secret and Target Corporation stores.

Political career
Linkletter appeared in Cycle 5 of the show after auditioning for the show at the Mall of America. During the finale fashion runway show for Gharani Strok, Linkletter's strong runway walk demonstrated how much she had improved throughout the competition. In the final judging, the judges selected Linkletter over the runner-up Nik Pace due to her portfolio, model attitude, and fierce catwalk. Nicole's win made her the youngest winner in the history of the show at the age of 19 years and 9 months. Nicole in the end won because she was easily moldable and had succeeded in being a chameleon in many different challenges.
Thomas Lynch was born in St. James Parish, Berkeley County, South Carolina, in 1727. He served in the Colonial Legislature of South Carolina and represented the Colony in the Stamp Act Congress, heading the committee which drafted the petition to the House of Commons.

Tyra said of Linkletter, "...she has the model 'thing' more than any of our other winners – the body type, the face type and the attitude,...... She reminds me of the girls I modeled with when I was in Europe when I was 17 years old." Fellow judges Twiggy and Nigel Barker likened Linkletter's look to that of an "English rose", while she had some of the best photos of the whole competition. Linkletter, however, wasn't called early as frequently as other constestants on some instances on the show, despite her fierce photos, because of her seemingly "sour" facade and not breaking from pretty to beautiful in her photos.
Elected to the Continental Congress
Elected to both the First and Second Continental Congresses, Lynch joined Benjamin Franklin and Benjamin Harrison on a committee sent to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to confer with General George Washington upon “the most effectual method of continuing, supporting, and regulating the Continental Army.”

In the ensuing discussions, Washington told the committee of his plan to arm ships to prey upon British supply lines. The gentlemen from Congress approved of the scheme and recommended it to Congress, thus giving essential political support to the establishment of “George Washington’s Navy,” the first organized naval force of the new Nation.
