(10067) Bertuch is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 11, 1989 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in the Tautenburg Forest in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named on July 28, 1999 after the German publisher and patron Friedrich Justin Bertuch (1747-1822), who translated Don Quixote into German and published it himself in 1774 and initiated the Princely Free Drawing School in Weimar . The journal of luxury and fashions published by him from 1786 is considered the first illustrated magazine in Europe.
