(1025) Riema is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 12, 1923 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth , who worked at the observatory on the Königstuhl near Heidelberg .

The asteroid is named after the German astronomer Johannes Karl Richard Riem .

The orbit has a semi-major axis of 1.9791 astronomical units and an orbital eccentricity of 0.0392. Thus it moves at a distance of 1.9015 ( perihelion ) to 2.0568 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in 2.784 a around the sun . The orbit is inclined 26.862 ° to the ecliptic .

The asteroid has a diameter of 5.5 km and an albedo of 0.40. It rotates around its own axis in 3.580 hours.
