(10895) Aynrand is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 11 October 1997 by the American US Amateur astronomer George R. Viscome on edge Observatory ( IAU code 816) in Franklin County in the northeast of the State of New York was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Russian-born American libertarian bestselling author Ayn Rand (1905–1982), whose socially critical novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged became world successes.
