(14832) Alechinsky is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 27 August 1987 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( observatory code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.

The asteroid was named on October 13, 2000 after the Belgian painter Pierre Alechinsky (* 1927), whose main work combines western and eastern (mainly Japanese) elements in a graphically shaped representation.
