(1550) Tito is an asteroid in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter . It was discovered on October 15, 1936 by the Serbian astronomer Milorad B. Protić . The asteroid was named after Josip Broz Tito after World War II .

Its exact composition was determined in 1995 and 2002 by high-resolution spectral analyzes, with which Tito could be classified as an S-type. Accordingly, the major part of its composition consists of silicates . Its albedo is 0.26. Tito has an eccentricity value of 0.312. The inclination of its orbit plane to the reference plane is about 8.86 °.
