(16152) 1999 YN 12 was discovered on December 30, 1999 by the Italian astronomers Luciano Tesi and Maura Tombelli at the Osservatorio Astronomico della Montagna Pistoiese ( IAU code 104) near San Marcello Pistoiese . It is assigned to the Lagrangian point L4.
