(2104) Toronto is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on August 15, 1963 by Karl Walter Kamper on photographic plates made by Sidney van den Bergh at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( IAU code 033).

It was named in honor of the University of Toronto , which made an important contribution to the development of astronomy in Canada .
