(2369) Chekhov is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on April 4, 1976 by the Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095).
The asteroid was named after the Russian writer , novelist and playwright Anton Pawlowitsch Chekhov (1860–1904), who became internationally known primarily as a playwright through his plays.
