(266) Aline is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt , which on 17 May 1887 by Johann Palisa the Observatory of Wien was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the daughter of the astronomer Edmund Weiss .

Aline moves at a distance of 2.3629 ( perihelion ) to 3.2456 ( aphelion ) astronomical units around the sun in 4.70 years . The orbit is inclined 13.3904 ° to the ecliptic , the orbital eccentricity is 0.1574.
