(2813) Zappala is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 24 November 1981 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station ( IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.

The asteroid was named after Vincenzo Zappalà (* 1945), who works at the Osservatorio Astronomico di Torino and maintains the website Astronomia.com.
