(4790) Petrpravec is an asteroid of the main belt , the American US from August 9, 1988 astronomer Eleanor Helin at Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California was discovered.
The asteroid is named after the Czech astronomer Petr Pravec (* 1967).
