(49382) Lynnokamoto is in the main belt situated asteroid , on 12 December 1998 by the American astronomer Roy Tucker on Goodricke-Pigott Observatory ( IAU code 683) in Tucson in Arizona was discovered.
The asteroid was named on March 31, 2018 after the Japanese mangaka Lynn Okamoto (* 1970), whose best-known work is the manga series Elfen Lied .
The asteroid belongs to the Adeona family, a group of asteroids named after (145) Adeona .
