Nestor was discovered by Max Wolf on March 23, 1908 . The asteroid is 60 ° ahead of Jupiter on the Lagrange point L 4 . It moves at a distance of 4.6 AU ( perihelion ) to 5.8 AU ( aphelion ) around the sun in around 12 years .
