(911) Agamemnon is a Jupiter Trojan . The asteroid, discovered by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth in Heidelberg in 1919 , is located at the Lagrange point L 4 of Jupiter .
Agamemnon moves around the Sun at a distance of 4.904 ( perihelion ) to 5.597 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in about 12 years . The orbit is inclined 21.8 ° to the ecliptic , the orbital eccentricity is 0.066. The albedo of the surface of Agamemnon is about 0.04 and its diameter about 167 kilometers.
The asteroid was named after the mythological hero Agamemnon .
