(9610) Vischer is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 2, 1992 by the German astronomers Freimut Börngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at the Thuringian State Observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in the Tautenburg Forest in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named on April 2, 1999 after the German sculptor and redsmith Peter Vischer the Elder (~ 1455–1529), whose masterpiece, the Sebaldus grave in Nuremberg , was created between 1508 and 1519.
