Álvaro Raúl Jarro Tobos
Alvaro Raúl Jarro Tobos (born September 7, 1930 in Nobsa , † August 11, 2004 ) was the military bishop of Colombia .
Life
Alvaro Raúl Jarro Tobos was ordained a priest on December 8, 1954 .
John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Chiquinquirá on June 19, 1984 . The Archbishop of Tunja , Augusto Trujillo Arango , ordained him on 15 August of the same year Bishop ; Co- consecrators were Juan Eliseo Mojica Oliveros , Bishop of Garagoa , and Jesús María Coronado Caro SDB , Bishop of Duitama .
The Pope appointed him on 24 June 1997 to the military bishop of Colombia and titular bishop of Thasbalta . On March 7, 1998 he renounced his titular bishop's seat in the course of the new allocation directives of the Roman Curia . He resigned from his office on January 19, 2001.
