Ângelo Ademir Mezzari

Ângelo Ademir Mezzari RCJ (born April 2, 1957 in Forquilhinha , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian Roman Catholic religious and appointed auxiliary bishop in São Paulo .

Life

Ângelo Ademir Mezzari joined the religious community of Rogationists and made profession on January 31, 1981 . He studied philosophy at the Nossa Senhora Medianeira Faculty in São Paulo and from 1984 Catholic theology at the Theological Institute Pio XI in São Paulo. Mezzari received on 22 December 1984, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

After his ordination, Ângelo Ademir Mezzari worked as a trainer for the philosophy students of his religious community and as a parish vicar in Curitiba . In addition, from 1986 to 1989 he took courses in journalism at the Universidade Federal do Paraná in Curitiba . From 1990 to 2002 Mezzari was a trainer for the theology students of the Rogationists and headed the Instituto Sócio Educativo in São Paulo. He was also Provincial Councilor from 1989 to 1998 and Director of the Institute for Vocations Pastoral from 1993 to 2002 . In addition, from 2002 to 2002 Mezzari was President of the Municipal Welfare Council of São Paulo and Assessor of the Vocational Pastoral Department of the Brazilian Bishops 'Conference and the Latin American Bishops' Council (CELAM). In 2002 Ângelo Ademir Mezzari became Provincial of the Religious Province of São Lucas, the Rogationists. In addition, he obtained a degree in dogmatics from the Pontifical Faculty of Nossa Senhora da Assunçã in São Paulo in 2003 .

From August 2, 2010 to July 21, 2016, Ângelo Ademir Mezzari was Superior General of the Rogationists. He then worked as pastor of the parish of Nossa Senhora das Graças and belonged to the college of consultors of the Bauru diocese .

On July 8, 2020 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Fiorentino and auxiliary bishop in Sao Paulo.
