Çilimli is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Düzce . The city is located about 10 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital Düzce and is home to about half of the district's population.

The county was established in 1990 by Law No. 3644 and is located in the center of the province. It borders on the Gümüşova district in the southwest , Cumayeri in the west, Akçakoca in the north and the central Düzce district in the east . In the south, the D-100 highway stripes from Edirne via Istanbul to Erzurum and the district to the Iranian border. In the north lies a branch of the Akçakoca Dağları , in the south the Düzce Ovası plain . The district consists of the administrative center ( Merkez ) and 20 villages ( Köy , plural Köyler ), which are inhabited by an average of 506 people. Two of the villages have over 1,000 inhabitants: Pırpır (1,439) and Yenivakıf (1,089).
